Granola captures AI-structured notes and verbatim transcripts from your meetings, turning every conversation into searchable, structured knowledge. When you connect Granola to Hyper, those meeting notes become part of your shared AI memory layer. Agents can search by meeting title, read AI-summarized notes for quick context, or pull verbatim speaker-tagged transcripts when the exact words matter. This makes your entire meeting history available to any agent — without anyone needing to manually copy notes into another system.

Connect Granola

Granola uses a custom OAuth flow with PKCE (Proof Key for Code Exchange) delivered through Hyper’s desktop app, which links to your existing Granola account.
1

Open Settings in the Hyper desktop app

Launch the Hyper desktop app and click Settings in the navigation, then select Connections.
2

Click Connect next to Granola

Find Granola in the list of available integrations and click Connect.
3

Authorize via the Granola OAuth flow

Hyper opens a secure authorization window. Sign in with your Granola account credentials to link it to Hyper. The flow uses PKCE to keep the exchange secure without requiring a client secret to be stored on your device.
4

Wait for the initial sync to complete

Hyper fetches all your meeting notes from Granola in batches. Sync progress is visible in Settings → Connections. Depending on how many meetings you have, this may take a few minutes.
You need an active Granola account to use this integration. Hyper links to your existing Granola account — it does not create one for you.

What Hyper Syncs

What’s syncedDetails
Meeting notesAll meeting notes in your Granola account, fetched in batches
AI-structured notesGranola’s AI-formatted summary of each meeting
Verbatim transcriptsSpeaker-tagged word-for-word transcripts
Source linksEach meeting links back to https://granola.so/notes/{id}
Hyper reads your Granola notes only — it never modifies, deletes, or creates any meeting notes in your Granola account.

Search Your Meeting Notes with AI Agents

Once your Granola notes are synced, your AI agents can search meetings by title and read them in two different modes depending on how much detail you need. Example agent queries:
Find Granola notes from the product roadmap meeting
Search my meeting notes for any discussion about pricing strategy
Read the notes from the engineering all-hands last Thursday
Show me the transcript from the customer discovery call with Acme Corp
Find meetings that mention "technical debt" in the title
Read the verbatim transcript from yesterday's design review
Two ways to read a meeting:

AI-Structured Notes

Reads Granola’s AI-formatted meeting summary — great for quickly understanding what was discussed and decided without reading every word.

Verbatim Transcript

Reads the full speaker-tagged transcript word-for-word — useful when exact phrasing, attribution, or completeness is important.
What agents can do:
ActionDescription
Search by titleFind meetings by keywords in their title
Read notesRetrieve AI-structured notes for a specific meeting
Read transcriptRetrieve verbatim speaker-tagged transcript for a specific meeting
Use AI-structured notes for quick context and summary. Switch to the verbatim transcript when you need to verify exact quotes or understand nuance in a specific conversation.

Reconnect Granola

If your Granola session expires or the connection is interrupted, Hyper will show a Reconnect prompt in Settings → Connections.
1

Go to Settings → Connections

Open the Hyper desktop app and navigate to Settings → Connections.
2

Click Reconnect next to Granola

Click the Reconnect button to open the Granola OAuth flow again.
3

Re-authorize with Granola

Complete the sign-in. Your previously synced meeting notes are preserved — Hyper fetches any new notes that appeared while the connection was inactive.

Disconnect Granola

To remove Granola from Hyper, go to Settings → Connections, find Granola, and click Disconnect. This terminates the Granola session and stops future syncing. Previously indexed meeting notes will be removed from your memory layer.
Disconnecting Granola removes all synced meeting note data from Hyper’s memory layer. If you reconnect later, Hyper will re-fetch all your Granola notes from scratch.
