Hyper’s desktop app is the control center for your team’s AI memory. It handles authentication, workspace management, integration settings, and the local MCP server — everything your AI clients need to connect to Hyper runs through it. The app is built on Tauri for a fast, native macOS experience.
Hyper is currently available on macOS only. Windows support is actively planned — visit heyhyper.ai and join the waitlist to get notified when it arrives.

After you install

Once you launch the app for the first time, Hyper walks you through a short onboarding flow:
1

Sign in with Google

Hyper uses Google OAuth for authentication — no separate password to manage. Click Sign in with Google, complete the browser prompt, and you’ll be returned to the app automatically.
2

Create or join a workspace

Choose to create a new personal or team workspace, or paste a join token from a teammate to enter an existing one. Your workspace is where all shared memory lives.
3

Connect your integrations

Optionally link Gmail, Slack, Notion, GitHub, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Granola, or LinkedIn. Hyper uses these to enrich your team’s memory with context from the tools you already work in.
4

Configure your AI client

Copy the MCP server URL shown in the app and add it to your AI client’s configuration. The quickstart guide has step-by-step instructions for Claude, Cursor, and Codex.

Staying up to date

Hyper checks for updates automatically in the background. When a new version is available, you’ll see a prompt in the app to restart and apply the update. You can also check manually from the menu bar icon.
Do not delete or move the Hyper app while it’s running. The local MCP server process runs as part of the app — moving it mid-session will drop any agent connections.
